On March 20-23, 2022, the fifth in a series of conferences dedicated to the assessment of the impact of technology on man and society - Digital Future (s): TA in and for a changing world will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany. The tradition began with a conference in 2013 in Prague, followed by Berlin in 2015 and Cork in 2017. So far, the last time the TA community met in 2019 in Bratislava.

The main topic of the conference will be digitization and the challenges it brings to politics, society, economics, the environment and research. The full text can be found here.

The global crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the digitization process in many areas of life. The current and potential impacts of digital technologies on technical and societal systems (energy systems, medical care, mobility, logistics and manufacturing) and individuals will be at the heart of the conference discussions.
