Have you ever heard that roads can be repaired using microwave radiation?
You can find an article in the MF Dnes attcahement dedicated to Digitalisation and Smart City- It has been published on 19th of February 2021 and the original version of the article is available here. In that article is desrcibed in detail the cooperation of the Technology Center of the Czech Academy of Science CAS (TC CAS) with small and medium-sized companies. A brief summary and the description of other support activities of the TC CAS (among other things within the EEN network) are given below.
"Thanks to experts from TC CAS, who had helped us to prepare a project presentation for the commission in Brussels, we've received a grant of EUR 1.8 million for the further development of FUTTEC microwave technology and the expansion of business activities. We greatly appreciated the service of the Key Account Manager from the TC CAS, especially the consultation provided on the use of digital technologies for involvement in the Smart City concept. He connected us with a business coach who has more than thirty years of experience as a top manager in the world's largest markets (USA, China, Germany). The coach helped us with the preparation of a strategy for the company's entry into other European markets. The FUTTEC technology was also awarded by the jury of the Visionaries business competition in 2019, for which we were nominated by the Technology Center of the CAS, “adds Jiří Rušikvas, the founder of Futtec a.s.
FUTTEC also takes advantage of the other tools for business cooperation support offered within the EEN network, such as presenting its innovative technology to investors at a FERROVIAL event in Spain. FUTTEC representatives also had the opportunity to try out a simulation of the presentation of their product to investors as part of the Scale-up your business mentoring program. However, all these steps were preceded by a structured interview with specialists from the TC CAS, which helped the company to identify key areas and priorities for future development.
