The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in cooperation with the Industrial Property Office and the Visegrad Patent Institute are organizing a hybrid seminar "PCT for V4 Seminar on Patent Cooperation Treaty for Innovators from Universities, Startups and SMEs" on June 10, 2024 from 10 a.m., dedicated to the international PCT system of patent applications. The seminar will take place in the premises of the Industrial Property Office (Antonína Čermáka 2a, Prague 6-Bubeneč) or in online mode.

The PCT agreement makes it possible to obtain patent protection for an invention simultaneously in more than 150 contracting states of the world through a single "international" patent application.

Experts from WIPO, the Visegrad Patent Institute and the Industrial Property Office will speak in the seminar program, which is intended primarily for those interested from universities, research organizations, innovative small and medium-sized companies and technology start-up companies. The seminar will be held in English, interpretation will not be provided.
