On 11th and 12th March 2020, the traditional conference “The 5th New horizons of Czech-Russian technological and business cooperation".
Given the current coronavirus pandemic, this was probably one of the last international events to take place at this time.
The conference was organized by the leading Russian company for innovation and technology transfer RexLex Nova with the support of the Commercial Representation of the Russian Federation in the Czech Republic and the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Prague and the Technology Centre CAS within the Enterprise Europe Network.
The aim of the event was to present Russian highly innovative technologies for Czech companies as well as multinational European companies and investors and to develop Czech-Russian cooperation. More than fifty representatives of the management of companies and research institutions from Russia and the Czech Republic had the opportunity to establish contact and launch joint projects.
During the two-day event, a total of eight projects focused on robotics, IT, industrial diagnostics, nanotechnology, aviation, education, safety were presented. Two projects from the Czech Republic were presented at this conference: the VOLTRY project - robotic service in restaurants and the HUSPOL Academy education project. On the first day there were professional presentations of technologies and on the second day they were on the so-called "Master Classes" program, when specific procedures for submitting applications for grant programs focused on cooperation between Russia and the countries of the European Union were presented. After that, bilateral negotiations took place between the participants. The event was traditionally held in a pleasant atmosphere and the participants' meetings took place practically continuously during the event and during coffee breaks. Based on this conference, the Technology Centre CAS started on March 16 subsequent negotiations with Czech conference participants on several selected projects and technologies.
